Magnetic Flow Sensor For Slurry

When the slurry is just a mixture of water and mud, use polychloroprene rubber (CR) lining and SS316 electrodes; if there are sand and stone particles in the slurry , it is recommended to use a wear-resistant polyurethane (PU) lining and tungsten carbide electrodes for measuring.There are no moving parts in the pipeline, no flow blocking parts, that is the important reasons for choosing electromagnetic flow meter to measure slurries and mud.

product overview

    Magnetic flow sensor for slurry ,  in addition to measuring the volume flow of general conductive liquids, the measurement of the volume flow of uniform liquid-solid two-phase suspension liquids such as mud, mineral pulp and paper pulp which has been recognized by the industry.

There are no moving parts in the pipeline, no flow blocking parts, this is also one of the important reasons for choosing electromagnetic flow sensor  to measure slurries and mud. When the slurry is just a mixture of water and mud, use polychloroprene rubber (CR) lining and SS316 electrodes; if there are sand and stone particles in the slurry , it is recommended to use a wear-resistant polyurethane (PU) lining and tungsten carbide electrodes for model selection.

  1) What is the features of Lining Material of magnetic flow meter  ?

2) How to Select the Electrode Material of Magnetic flow meter ?

  1. SS316L: used for industrial and domestic water, sewage and other weakly corrosive liquids, suitable for petroleum, chemical, municipal, environmental protection, steel and other industries
  2. Hastelloy B (HB): has good corrosion resistance to all concentrations of hydrochloric acid below the boiling point, and can also resist corrosion including: sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, hydrofluoric acid, organic acid and other non-chlorinated acids, alkalis and non-oxidizing salt solutions.
  3. Hastelloy C (HC): It has excellent corrosion resistance to nitric acid, mixed acid, or mixed media of chromic acid and sulfuric acid in oxidizing acid corrosion, and can also resist corrosion from oxidizing salts or other oxidants, such as hypochlorite solutions above room temperature or seawater corrosion.
  4. Titanium (Ti): Resistant to corrosion from seawater, various chlorides and hypochlorites, oxidizing acids (including fuming nitric acid), organic acids, alkalis, etc., but if the acid contains oxidants (such as nitric acid, iron ions, copper ions), the corrosion is greatly reduced, but it is not resistant to corrosion from purer reducing acids (such as sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid).
  5. Tantalum (Ta): Excellent corrosion resistance, very similar to glass, excellent corrosion resistance to almost all chemical media, (including hydrochloric acid, nitric acid and sulfuric acid with boiling points below 175°C (except hydrofluoric acid, fuming nitric acid, fuming sulfuric acid and alkali)
  6. Platinum/iridium alloy: Except for aqua regia and ammonium salts, it has good corrosion resistance to various acids, alkalis and various salts.
  7. Tungsten carbide: Good wear resistance, can be used for the measurement of highly abrasive media such as slurry.

3)Can magnetic flow sensor measure te high temperature fluids ? 

Because the insulating lining material of the measuring tube is limited by temperature, industrial electromagnetic flow sensor cannot measure high temperature and high pressure fluid; magnetic flow sensor  is easily affected by external electromagnetic interference as well.
