The RD805 Non-contact Radar Level Indicator boasts a consistent received signal, a limited blind region, a narrow error range, and precise measurement. It’s simple to establish and adjust the parameters thanks to the LCD display and programmable operating buttons. Because of its low transmission power, the pulse signal that the non-contacting radar level indicator RD805 emits is less harmful to people’s bodies. It works well with a range of tanks, silos, and containers made of metal or non-metal.

What is the difference between a non-contacting radar level transmitter and an ultrasonic level meter?

Many similarities exist between non-contacting radar level transmitters and ultrasonic radar level meters. Neither of them are in direct contact with the liquid surface. They operate on the principle of sending a signal to an object and then receiving the signal reflected by the object.

The main difference between Non-contacting radar level transmitters is the type of signal emitted. Non-contacting radar level transmitters output radio waves, while ultrasonic instruments output sound wave signals.

There are various types of radio waves. Generally speaking, radio wave is a high-frequency radio wave, and sound wave is a kind of mechanical vibration. The frequency of sound wave fluctuation is relatively low. Radio waves can travel through a vacuum, but ultrasonic waves must travel through air, solids, and liquids.
