Solid material radar level meters provide non-contact, continuous measurement of bulk solids (powders, granules, pellets) in silos, bins, and hoppers. These instruments overcome traditional challenges like dust interference, irregular surfaces, and material bridging through precision-engineered solutions.
Solid material radar level meters are high-precision measuring instruments and are widely used in the industrial field. To ensure its best working condition and performance, regular maintenance and upkeep are of vital importance:
Solid material radar level meter mainly achieve level measurement based on the emission and reception of electromagnetic waves. The electromagnetic waves emitted from the head of the instrument propagate towards the surface of the measured material at a constant speed. When electromagnetic waves encounter the surface of materials, reflection occurs, and part of the reflected waves are received by the radar level gauge.
By precisely measuring the time interval from the emission to the reception of electromagnetic waves, combined with the propagation speed of electromagnetic waves, and using a specific calculation model, the distance between the material and the radar level gauge can be accurately calculated, and then the height of the level can be determined.
