• Beam & Accuracy: The beam angle of 26GHz is 8°~12°, while the beam angle of 80G high-frequency radar level meter is only 3°~5°, with a more concentrated coverage area, which can accurately avoid internal components of the tank and achieve millimeter-level accuracy.
• Antenna: The 80G radar level meter’s antenna, paired with a lens antenna, is compact, flexible in installation, and has a small blind zone. Low-frequency radar antennas are larger and have a relatively larger blind zone.

• Contact Methods: GWR uses a contact measurement method, and the probe is susceptible to the influence of adhering medium, requiring regular cleaning. In contrast, 80G radar level gauge is non-contact, with the antenna not in contact with the medium, making it suitable for high temperature, high pressure, highly corrosive, and volatile media, and eliminating material buildup and loss.
• Measurement Range: Guided wave radar level meter, due to its probe length, is more suitable for small tanks. FMCW 80G radar level meter, on the other hand, has a measuring range of up to 150 meters, suitable for large storage tanks.
• Cost & Maintenance: 80G radar level transmitter is maintenance-free and has lower costs, while the GWR has slightly higher maintenance costs.
