Working Principle Of Presure Type Thermometer:

Although Pressure Type Thermometers are part of the expansion thermometer family, they detect temperature by measuring the increase in pressure of the liquid or gas in a closed container rather than by measuring changes in volume or dimensions after the material has heated and expanded. In reality, the thermometer’s indicating dial is just a regular pressure gauge.

A temperature bulb, a capillary tube, and a pressure-sensitive component—such as a bellows, diaphragm box, spring tube, etc.—make up the majority of the Pressure Type Thermometer. The temperature change is entirely transferred to the internal working substance via the temperature bulb, which is in direct contact with the measured medium. As a result, the material should be able to withstand corrosion and have a high heat conductivity.
