The Story Between 475 Field Communicator and TREX Communicator :

First introduced in 2009, the 475 Field Communicator immediately became one of the most successful hand-held communicators in the industrial process area, making configuration and maintenance of Hart and FF devices extremely easy.

In October 2016, a new generation of handheld communicators – the AMS TREX Device Communicator. The AMS TREX Communicator performs all the functions of the 475 Field Communicator, so the 475 Field Communicator will be phased out and discontinued.

In addition, as of October 2018, the 475 communicator will no longer be available for order, spare parts procurement and repair services will continue until October 2020, and new device descriptions (DDs) for HART and FF will only be updated until October 2020. After October 30, 2020, the 475 product line will be changed to “retirement status,” which means that factory support for the 475 product line has ended.
