High Temperature RTD Sensor

For High Temperature RTD Sensors, it is recommended to use armored PT100 type, equipped with high-quality imported platinum resistance chips, and acid-resistant, alkali-resistant and high-temperature resistant wires. It can directly measure the temperature of liquid, steam and gas medium and solid surface in the range of -200 to 500℃ in various production processes. The High Temperature RTD Sensor is widely used in food, refrigeration, medicine, machinery, rubber, biology, white goods and other industries.

How To Properly Calculate The Temperature Sensor Insertion Depth?

In order to ensure the measurement accuracy, all the sensitive sections of the temperature sensor are inserted into the measured medium usually. Then the required immersion length of the temperature sensor:

• When measuring gas, the insertion depth of the thermocouple should be more than 95mm, and the insertion depth of the RTD sensor and bimetal temperature sensor should be more than 115mm.
• When measuring liquids, the insertion depth of thermocouples, thermal resistor sensors, and bimetallic temperature sensors should be greater than 46mm.The insertion depth of the temperature sensor=connector + wall thickness + immersion length.
• If the pipe diameter is too small (less than 80mm), the pipe should be enlarged when installing the temperature sensor.
• For the temperature measurement of general tower equipment, when the temperature sensor is installed horizontally, the temperature sensor insertion depth is 300-400mm.
• For the temperature measurement of the boiler hearth, the temperature sensor is mostly installed horizontally. Except for the thickness of the refractory bricks of the furnace body, just need to insert 150mm into the furnace.
